VSB Hydr-O-Start

Thanks to years of pioneering work by our company, Soft-Starters have proved to be very effective in hydraulic lifts.

The acceleration is controlled by means of the VSB Hydr-O-Start or the VSB Soft-Switch. Hydraulic lifts require high-powered motors. They are frequently overloaded during operation.

In the case of the star-delta, the likely start-up current is approx. 3.8 times the nominal current, with a drop in voltage of about 2%.

Thanks to the VSB technology, changes in voltage during start-up have been improved by 60% to approx. 0.9%, and the start-up current is only about 1.2 to 1.5 times the nominal current, for example (based on tests conducted on Ziehl-Abegg motors).

The VSB Hydr-O-Start can be operated in standard connections or so-called W3 connections without having to be adapted. VSB Soft-Switch devices are supplied as complete circuit breakers (incl. contactor).

VSB Hydr-O-Start and VSB Soft-Switch devices are available with power ratings of up to 110 kW.
